Phantom, New Year’s Celebration, Westchester Broadway Theatre, Mon, 12/31: 6pm-2am: Maury Yeston and Arthur Kopek’s Phantom returns to WBT for one night at the special New Year’s Celebration. Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres begin at 6pm followed by dinner and the show at 7pm. After the performance there’s champagne and dancing with the Tuxedo Park Orchestra. Yestona nd Kopek won the 1982 Tony Award for Best Musical for Nine, and were commissioned to turn The Phantom of the Opera into a musical in the states. Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Phantom made it to the London stage before the curtains opened for Yeston and Kopek.
