With six musicians and three for the Jimmy Page parts, they re-create Led Zeppelin’s studio recordings with all the bells and whistles featuring the studio overdubs that Zeppelin themselves never performed live. Aida Cuevas, “The Queen of Rancheras,”, Performing Arts Center, Sun, 11/4: 3pm: Aida Cuevas is beloved in Mexico for her stunning vocals and unswerving devotion to traditional music. Rancheras stems from the Mexican revolution and the genre is overflowing with drama and patriotism. In 2018, Cuevas became the first female singer in the mariachi genre to win a Grammy when she was honored for “Best Regional Mexican Music Album” for her CD Arrieros Somos. Hendrick Hertzberg of The New Yorker called Williams “one ov America’s very best singer-songwriters.” A frequent festival performer, Williams has toured with Mary Chapin Carpenter, Joan Baez, Ani DiFranco and Shawn Colvin. Dark Star Orchestra, Paramount Hudson Valley, Sun, 11/18: 7pm: They’re back. Grateful Dead tribute band have performed over 100 shows and have shared the stage with original Dead members. Twiddle: Friendsgiving, Capitol Theater, Fri-Sat, 11/23-24: 8pm: Standouts at festivals such as Red Rocks and Bonnaroo, Twiddle comes to the Cap for two nights. The Bozeman, MT-based bluegrass quartet Kitchen Dwellers will open for them on Friday night and The Rrik Krasno Band will open for them on Saturday. Guitarist Fresno (Lettuce) has written, performed and produce Grammy-winning efforts with worked with Tedeschi Trucks, The Derek Trucks Band, Ledisi and Roberth Randolph.
