A Taste of Westchester: Peter Pratt’s Inn: Moonshine Be Mine! Built in 1780, this colonial homestead has been a local inn dating back to 1926. Master chef and owner Jonathan Pratt weaves stories of the Inn’s history and culinary into his cooking demonstration class. But not before toasting the chef with the first of his specially selected wine pairings for the evening. When the class begins, chef Pratt will demonstrate his preparation of short rib ragout with local Wild Hive polenta. Next you will learn the magic to his Filipino pork adobo with fried rice. Finally, Jon will showcase local Moonshine in his 21 and over “moonberry” sundae along with a snow cone of shaved ice. Chef Pratt’s class is one of ATOW’s most popular, so grab a friend and reserve your spot early!
A Taste of Westchester Cooking classes are part of the Westchester Community College Adult Education program. Each class is offers a live demo, often interactive, with an outstanding local chef. After the demonstrations everyone eats the lesson plan. Usually with an expertly paired glass of wine or craft beer, courtesy of the chef.
