Taconic Opera Stars of Tomorrow: The Taconic Opera presents an ambitious program that will include works by Ravel as well as the world premiere of Red Sea Trio, a newly-commissioned piece composed by local composer and Taconic Opera Director, Dan Montez.
The performance will feature a trio of emerging virtuosi on piano, violin and clarinet, including:
Pianist Kessa Mefford, whose career includes local, national and international recitals, returns to The Taconic Opera for Ravel’s rarely performed suite for solo piano, Le Tambeau de Couperin, and his famous Shéhérazade. Venezuelan violinist Laura Pereira del Rio, will solo on Ravel’s Violin Sonata No. 2. Joining them will be Michelle Hromin, 1st Prize Winner of the Sidney Forrest Clarinet Competition.
An event every week that begins at 9:45 am on Sunday, Friday and Saturday, repeating until December 1, 2024
