Dana Fuchs @ The Emelin: She starred in the off-Broadway musical Love, Janis singing Janis Joplin’s greatest hits including “Cry Baby”, “Piece of My Heart” and “Get It While You Can”. She followed that role up on the big screen in Julie Taymor’s Beatles-based musical, Across the Universe. In it she put her own indelible mark on “Helter Skelter”, “Why Don’t We Do It In the Road” and “Don’t Let Me Down”.

Her three studio albums have been lauded by music critics and her 2011 album Love To Beg was named Classic Rock’s blues Album of the month.
