Bedford Playhouse Will Remain Open
Bedford Playhouse Will Remain Open: The Bedford Playhouse recently announced that they will remain open while operating under safety guidelines recommended by the CDC and state and local government agencies for national small theater organizations. Here’s the announcement for the Bedford Playhouse Chairman of the Board, Sarah Long.
To Our Valued Customers and Patrons:
We at Bedford Playhouse have been closely monitoring the rapidly evolving developments relating to the Coronavirus. Our highest priority is the health and well-being of our community and we want to let you know the precautions we are taking at this time.
First, we’re responding to the most updated reports from the CDC (https://www.cdc.gov) and from state and local government agencies. We are following their safety guidelines, and the best practices recommended by national small theater organizations. We have significantly increased the frequency of cleaning our entire facility with particular attention to bathroom facilities, door handles, seat arms and all points of common contact. High alcohol-based hand sanitizers are available throughout the facility.
Bedford Playhouse is a small, primarily local venue that averages fewer than 30 patrons per show — far fewer than large gatherings drawing concerns by health officials throughout the country. That said, we respect that every patron must decide what they are or are not comfortable with. At this time all Playhouse programming will proceed as scheduled.
The Board and I know that we will get through this challenging period by being prudent and working together as a community. We are asking our staff and our patrons to please stay home if they have a cough, cold or fever of any kind, or if they think that they may have been exposed to the virus. We are committed to providing a safe space for you and your family to enjoy the Playhouse.
If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me at chairman@bedfordplayhouse.org.
Sincerely,
Sarah Long
Chairman of the Board

Earlier this week, we opened our pages to a public service advisory from Northern Westchester Hospital. We do the same here for the North Castle Town Board. We have reached out to other local governments, organizations and businesses and we stand ready to connect you with the best current information available.
