Ridgefield Playhouse announces 3 new Outdoor Concerts: The Ridgefield Playhouse which has forged the way with the reopening of public entertainment following the safety mandates outlined by the Connecticut Department of Health, recently announced three new outdoor concerts that will be held at Ballard Park on Main Street in Ridgefield, CT.
The new series kicks off this week with two shows from multi-Grammy-nominee and country/Americana cross-over star Grace Potter. Potter has made the charts four times with songs from Grace Potter & The Nocturnals and her solo efforts. She received her first Grammy-nom for her duet with Kenny Chesney on the mega country hit “You and Tequila” in 2011. Four years later they collaborated again on “Wild Child” which hit No. 1 on the US Country Airplay charts. Grace has also collaborated with The Flaming Lips, Nickel Creek and Queens of the Stone Age. She has also covered such Americana mega-hits as The Grateful Dead’s “Ripple” and The Band’s “The Weight”.
The Ridgefield Playhouse outdoor public concerts continue in August with a twin-bill from American Idol 2015 champion Nick Fradiani, and the folk-tinged Alternate Routes who have performed on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson,” “Late Night with Conan O’Brien,” and have been guests on NPR’s Mountain Stage. And concludes on August 29 with the Season 1 Winner of The Voice, Javier Colon. He is best known for his singles “As Long As We Got Love,” and “Stand Up,” featuring his Voice mentor Adam Levine (Maroon 5). Colon has also as toured with and opened for some of the biggest names in show business including Joss Stone, Darius Rucker, The Indigo Girls, Chaka Khan, Anthony Hamilton, and many more.
