Armonk’s Techie Mom Rocks the APP world!
Armonk’s Techie Mom Rocks the APP world! CEO and co-founder of enCappture, Denise Disano is working hard at democratizing the mobile app world so all businesses and organizations can engage with their audience 24/7. enCappture is a cloud-based, custom mobile app developer launched in 2019 that already has twenty-five client apps in the Apple and Google Play app stores. Including Marx Realty, CNY Group, a blue chip construction management firm in Manhattan, and Cager Sports, a sports facility booking service. Locally, enCappture has developed apps for the Armonk Chamber of Commerce and What To Do Media.
It all started in the second grade
A former Westchester school teacher, Denise pioneered the integration of technology into the classroom at the Todd School in Briarcliff. It started with the simple act of applying for a grant for her second grade class. In short order the school followed up on her lead to make technology an integral part of the curriculum.
She went from integrating technology into her student’s curriculum to their social lives when she launched her first commercial product Invite Bandz coded wristbands that connect to friends’ private webpages to RSVP for birthday parties and special events. Invite Bandz feature a private chat area, gift wish list, and a photo gallery and are sold by over 500 retailers including Amazon and Party City.
After launching Invite Bandz, DiSano began receiving inquiries from businesses and organizations interested in a similarly functioning product that they could white-label and use to connect with customers, members, employees and partners. This led DiSano to develop enCappture, a SaaS solution that allows businesses and organizations to launch a branded mobile app quickly and cost-effectively.
enCappture: The Platform
enCappture’s mobile app platform offers both an iOS and Android mobile app, a CMS dashboard and a suite of robust features that make it easy for the user to highlight, manage and share events and user experiences, including event info and RSVPs, private messaging, polls and surveys, document management, and chat boards. The enCappture team can develop a branded app for any business for a small setup charge and low monthly subscription fee, making it affordable for any size organization. “These days, mobile apps are the way people and companies connect and transact,” DiSano told us, adding, “Our target market is any business that wants to engage with their audience 24/7 via their own branded mobile app.”
The CNY Group
enCappture’s highest profile client is the CNY Group, a construction management firm whose project list includes the Woolworth Residences, a renovation project that transformed the top thirty floors of Manhattan’s iconic Tribeca tower into luxury residences. Other notable projects include the Marriott Times Square, Marriot Central Park and the Vassar College Libraries.
The company uses the platform to share company news, conduct training, communicate important HR information, onboard new employees, share knowledge, create customer contests and manage events and conferences. It features integrated scheduling software, comment boards, media galleries, private messaging, push notifications and a document uploader.
Cager Sports
Cager Sports uses its branded app to facilitate bookings for batting cages, pitching tunnels, courts, and other sports facilities that list with their service. Each facility has its own area on the app providing stress-free booking, the ability to post waivers and signup sheets, send push notifications for updates and event reminders, initiate media galleries for training videos and use chat boards for quick communication. They have seen a bookings increase of 20% since they installed their app.
What To Do Media
What To Do: Armonk, Bedford & Chappaqua’s new mobile app takes this popular local news and events website to another level of user friendliness. What To Do launched a newly designed site in 2019 with enhanced calendar functionality offering search functions such as category and date range. Their new mobile app offers one click access to pre-sorted categories allowing users to do a deep dive into the events that interest them the most. Like music, movies, arts, kids events and events for grown-ups.
In fact, every section of the site from Townie News, Where To Shop and Kids Stuff to the popular What To Eat: Restaurant Guide is a click away. “Users of the What To Do app can also receive news and hot ticket alerts so you don’t have to miss a thing,” Publisher Al D’Alessandro said.
