Friends of Music Concerts: Pacifica Quartet with Orion Weiss

The quartet was nominated for Grammy Awards multiple times and won in January 2021 for their album Contemporary Voices.

Now in residence at Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music, the Quartet held that same position at the Metropolitan Museum of Art from 2009 to 2012. In 2009 it received the Grammy Award for Best Chamber Music Performance.

Orion Weiss is one of the most sought-after soloists in his generation of young American musicians. He has performed with the major American orchestras, including the Chicago Symphony, Boston Symphony, Los Angeles Philharmonic, and New York Philharmonic.
