The car belonging to a missing man from Armonk has been found at a parking lot near New Castle’s Glazier Preserve.
State police are being aided by local departments as they search the 44-acre park for the 21-year-old.
Miles Applebaum, a student at Temple University, was last seen leaving his home at 9:50 a.m. Monday in a green Volvo. The car was discovered at the trail’s parking lot off Whippoorwill Road.
Police said the search has been difficult due to the park’s rough terrain.

October 2: The Huffington Post reported yesterday that Miles Applebaum of Armonk, a 21 year old college student on medical leave, has been missing for three days. He was last seen by his father Edward Applebaum on Monday morning, September 29 when he left his home.
The Huff Post reported that Miles had been suffering from severe depression, has been on and off a variety of medications and that there has been no activity in his bank account or on his cell phone since his disappearance. His vehicle, a 1999 forest green Volvo S80 with New York license #Z524CL, also is missing.
“Investigators” are examining his computer for clues and the case is being investigated by the North Castle Police Department. Anyone with information is asked to contact North Castle police at 914-273-9500.
