A Charles Dickens Christmas from Chef Mark Kramer: In the world of take-out cuisine there is nothing more sublime, or at least more Dickensian than Chappaqua’s Susan Lawrence Gourmet Foods’ Charles Dickens Victorian Christmas menu. This a la carte menu offers a festive selection of hors d’oeuvre’s, holiday soups, entrees and sides, pastries, confections and breads. His signature dish is Stuffed Fresh Goose with herb bread stuffing, pre-basted with butter and brandy. Bedford Post Inn: Chopped Champion and four-time Michelin Recommended Chef, Roxanne Spruance is offering fully cooked, ready to heat four-course dinners for Christmas Eve or Day. Choose from an anchor entree of Leg of Lamb, Prime Rib or Cry Aged Duck. All menus start with Chestnut Soup, Winter Chicory Salad and end with a Bouche de Noel (espresso, meringue, mint). The Inn at Pound Ridge: On Christmas Eve Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s Inn at Pound Ridge will offer à la carte brunch and dinner menus. On Christmas Day, you can enjoy a three-course, prix-fixe menu from 12-8pm that includes Faroe Island Salmon, Pan seared wild Hake, Roasted Maine Lobster, Roasted Duck Breast and Wagyu Beef Tenderloin for the entree course. La Crémaillière in Banksville: Will offer a special Christmas Eve Tasting Menu. There will be two seatings. At 5:30pm and 8:30pm by reservation only.
Goosefeather in Tarrytown: If a traditional Christmas dinner for you is served with chop sticks, Goosefeather from the James Beard nominated Chef Dale will be serving their amped up Cantonese cuisine that focuses on noodles, Canonese barbecue, and dumplings. Chef Dale has been a contestant and judge on Bravo’s Top Chef. He has also been a judge on the Food Network’s Chopped! and Beat Bobby Flay. They are open on Christmas Eve and will be serving their regular menu of northern Italian classics, such as Linguine Nere Con Coda D’Aragosts Marechiara: Black Linguine with baby lobster tails in a light tomato sauce; Carre D’agnello al Forno: Prime Rack of Lamb served with sage sauce; Scalopine al Tartufo: Veal Sauteed with Porcini mushrooms and white truffle butter with a touch of cream, Costaletta di Maile Principessa, a thin breaded Berkshire Pork chop sautéed with brandy and brown sauce.
