Melody Gardot at The Ridgefield Playhouse
American Jazz singer, and international multi-platinum selling artist, Melody Gardot, has been dazzling audiences with her dusky, delicately nuanced vocal style for nearly 20 years. In the wake of a near death bicycle accident in 2003, after which she spent one year in the hospital, Gardot was forced to relearn many basic tasks. Through her rehabilitation, she also learned songwriting, and despite both short-term and long-term memory loss and physical pain, she persisted. Since then, Gardot has released six studio records and amassed an international fan base. Her latest record, Entre eux deux (Decca / 2022), was produced by Larry Klein, who produced the 4x Grammy-winning Herbie Hancock tribute to Joni Mitchell, River: The Joni Letters.
