Pride: A Celebration of Queer Stories at Jacob Burns Film Center
This June, the Jacob Burns Film Center celebrates LGBTQ+ stories with a selection of five one-off screenings and events. From the black queer origins of rock n’ roll in the documentary Little Richard: I Am Everything to Imelda Staunton’s feel-good story of British LGBT activists in the long-form narrative, Pride. The series will also feature the 1996 Watermelon Woman and a 1969 dive into the world of Tokyo drag queens, Funeral Parade of Roses.
