White Plains Restaurant Month
White Plains Restaurant Month
White Plains Restaurant Month presented by the White Plains Business Improvement District (WPBID) kicked off on January 2 and will run through January 31 at 24 different eateries. Each restaurant will offer prix fixe meals at the tasty price of $22.95 for lunch, $32.95 for dinner or $42.95 on their 2nd tier menus.
Of special note is David Burke’s Red Horse (reviewed here) where you can get a three-course meal at the insanely low price of $42.95. And they’re WPBID Restaurant Week menu features some of their most popular dishes including their popular appetizer Clothesline Bacon, and our fave Lobster Dumplings. Their amazing Short Ribs with Chow Fun noodles; the DB Chicken with wild mushrooms, farrotto; and Seared Ginger Black Pepper Salmon for mains. There are four dessert options including Apple Pie Sunday, Creme Brûlée with berries and Triple Mouse Cake with toasted almonds, Grand Marnier caramel, raspberry sauce and whipped cream.
Not to be outdone, Morton’s The Steakhouse is offering Lobster Bisque and a Wagyu Meatball on their appetizer menu. And a six ounce center cut filet mignon, a 16 ounce double-cut prime pork chop and Mine Lobster ravioli for the main course. Followed by Chef select shuffle with Sabayon sauce and Key Lime pie for dessert on their $42.95 prix fixe menu.
One of the more interesting Restaurant Month menus we found comes from Sundance Kitchen & Cantina who is offering a Surf & Turf combo of filet mignon and stuffed jumbo shrimp for a main course. Mar & Tierra featuring grilled churasco and shrimp scampi. Or a Fiesta Platter with carne aside, grilled shrimp and chorizo on a $42.95 prix fixe menu.
And we’re very curious about the Basque Cheesecake at Lilly’s. Whose 2nd tier menu also features crispy Brussel sprouts, short ribs and Dulce de Leche ice cream.
