Smokey Robinson at The Capitol Theatre
Grammy Living Legend Award-winner and founder of Berry Gordy’s first vocal group The Miracles, performs for one night at Port Chester’s Capitol Theatre. The Miracle’s song “Shop Around” was Motown Record’s first #1 hit. In addition to fronting the group, Smokey penned Miracles’ hits including “You Really Got a Hold On Me,” “Ooo Baby Baby,” “The Tracks of My Tears,” “Going to a Go Go,”, “Tears of a Clown,” and “I Second that Emotion.”
Robinson also wrote hits for The Temptations, Mary Wells, Marvin Gaye and other Motown greats, including “The Way You Do the Things You Do,” “My Girl,” “Get Ready,” “You Beat Me to the Punch,” “Don’t Mess With Bill,” “Ain’t That Peculiar,” and “My Guy.”
