Jacob Burns Film Center: Halloween Movie Marathon

JBFC’s Halloween Movie Marathon kicks off at 7:30pm with a pre-Boo Fest get together at their Take 3 Wine Bar & Cafe. There’s a costume contest at 8:30 and the Movie Marathon begins at 9pm with a screening of the 1954 classic Creature from the Black Lagoon.

Then its on to 1982 with John Carpenter’s The Thing; Infested featuring an exotic animal and a fertile venomous spider; Anaconda starring Jon Voigt because if you’re not scared of spiders they have to bring in the snake; Joe Dante’s Piranha from 1978; Larry Cohen’s (It’s Alive) 1982 The Winged Serpent; and Tremors from 1990 with Kevin Bacon and Reba McIntyre.
