Armonk Artist’s COVID-19 Relief Sale Benefits NWH: Artist Evan Lorberbaum, a 2010 Byram Hills High School grad who has exhibited at the Armonk Outdoor Art Show has placed twenty-one of his paintings and mixed media works up for sale to benefit Northern Westchester Hospital. Lorberbaum, who debuted in 2016 with a two-month solo exhibition at NYC’s Citigroup Center, will donate seventy-five percent of all proceeds from his COVID-19 Relief Sale to the hospital. The contributions will be allocated towards the purchase of personal protective equipment, breathing machines and other urgently needed life-saving devices at the hospital. Funds will also help provide emergency childcare, housing and meals for staff working long hours caring for those patients affected by this pandemic.

Evan Lorberbaum’s “Identity Crisis”

Lorberbaum’s preferred media includes spray paint on canvas, spray paint and acrylics on canvas and several mixed media pieces. He creates under the moniker ELO, which is short for his movement – Encourage Life Originality. ELO aims to inspire people to reach their full potential by embracing their originality. He graduated from NYU’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study with a concentration on The Business of Art and Entrepreneurship, where he developed his arts-centric interest in branding and marketing. ELO’s art is influenced by graffiti, abstract expressionism, and his relationship with time, personal growth, and pop culture. He draws on current influences including Jay-Z, Shepard Fairey, KAWS, Takashi Murakami, and Pharrel.

Evan had his first solo gallery exhibition in 2018 at Tambaran 2 Gallery on East 82nd St. in Manhattan. (Their motto: Where Tribal Meets Contemporary.) In 2019 he had at solo show at  The Yard, a co-working space in Herald Square. Commercially he has collaborated with Champs Sports, TOMS, Garrixon Studio, Good Wood NYC, Sing For Hope and FCB Global.
