New York Botanical Garden, The Orchid Show – Sat, 3/3- Sun, 4/22. The Orchid Show celebrates its 16th year at The New York Botanical Garden with this display of thousands of orchids featuring a series of installations by Daniel Ost, the international star of flower arrange. Hailed as the ”Picasso of flower arranging”, his large-scale flower displays have been compared to the work of sculptors Claes Oldenburg, Anish Kapoor, and Andy Goldsworthy. Open Tues-Sun, 10am-6pm. PepsiCo Sculpture Gardens Opens Sat-Sun, 3/31 – 10/28: 10am-4pm The Donald M. Kendall Sculpture Gardens at PepsiCo’s World Headquarters in Purchase, opens for the season on Sat, 3/31. The Garden features 45 pieces of large-scale outdoor pieces from some of the greatest sculptors of the 20th century. Including Henry Moore, Alexander Calder, August Rodin and Alberto Giacometti. This ninety minute stroll will take you through stream-lined woods and park-like settings with over 6,000 trees from 38 species, lawns, ponds, fountains, a koi pond, formal gardens with topiary, hedges and thousands of flowering bulbs. Perhaps the greatest cat fight of all time on film, All About Eve was nominated for 14 Academy Awards (won 6) and is listed at #16 on AFI’s list of the Greatest Films of All Time.

Vanities, Katonah Village Library – Fri-Sat, 4/20-21: 8pm: Director Tom Kramer (Small Town Theatre Company) and Millennium Productions present a stage reading of Jack Heifner’s 1976 comedy that chronicles the lives of three high school cheerleaders from a small Texas town. The play spans the years 1963 to 1974 and follows the trio from HS to college sorority to New York City. The Legacy of Brandenburg, Ars Antiqua, Church of St. Mary, Chappaqua – Sat, 4/21: 8pm: Virtuoso violinist, Nicholas Di Eugenio joins Mark Kramer (Baroque cello) and his Ars-Antiqua ensemble for an evening of music from the private library of Christian Ludwig, Margrave of Brandenburg-Schwedt.
