Pop Diva Alert! Greenwich International Film Festival’s Epic Anniversary Party ft. Kesha, Capitol Theatre, Sat, 6/1: 8:45pm: GIFF’s Epic Anniversary Party celebrates the five-year anniversary of the Festival. This star-studded event will feature a concert performance by pop-diva and chart topper Kesha. Kesha has had ten Top Ten singles, including No. 1 hit Til-Tok, and two albums that reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200 – Animal (2017) and Rainbow (2018). Get The Led Out, Tarrytown Music Hall, Fri-Sat, 6/7-8: 8pm: This Led Zeppelin tribute band is so hot they get two nights at The Tarrytown Music Hall. Not many original bands has that much draw. GTLO recreates Led Zepp’s studio albums with three guitarists to perform all the overdubs Jimmy Page layered onto the band’s studio sound. Effects that LZ were never able to create on stage. Best Jazz! Across a celebrated career, Di Meola performed with Chick Corea and Stanley Clarke in the chart-busting band Return to Forever. Highlights of his solo career include the Gold certified album Elegant Gypsy, and the acoustic live album Friday Night in San Francisco with Paco Lucia and John McLaughlin that sold two million copies. Opening Night: Alyssa Weilerstein & OSL, Caramoor’s Venetian Theatre, Sat, 6/15: 8:30pm: World-renowned cellist Alisa Weilerstein, a MacArthur Fellow and Caramoor Evnin Rising Stars alum, returns to Caramoor for Dvorak’s Cello Concerto (called one of the greatest of all cello concertos) with Caramoor’s resident Orchestra of St Luke’s conducted by former Caramoor Artistic Director Peter Oundjian. Hot Jazz Age Frolic, Caramoor’s Friend’s Field Tent, Sun, 6/16: 2:30pm: Produced in collboration with The New York Hot Jazz Festival, Caramoor’s Hot Jazz Age Frolic is an afternoon/evening celebration of swinging jazz of the 1920s & 30s with Bria Skonberg’s Hot Five, Kate Edomonson (vocals) and Vince Giordano & The Nighthawks. World Music, Tribu Baharu, Caramoor’s Spanish Courtyard, Fri, 6/21: 8pm: Tribu Baharú’s exuberant performances of champeta music — a fusion of Colombian, African, and Afro-Caribbean styles — are driven by lively vocals, sparkling Congolese guitar, and high-energy bass and drums. A Tribu Baharú performance recreates the joyous, impromptu spirit of the verbena dances that are popular in Colombian neighborhoods during festivals. Multi-instrumentalist Amythyst Kiah, a rising star with a old-time sound steeped in African-American roots opens for them at the Venetian Theatre in the evening.
