Greensky Bluegrass, Capitol Theatre, Sat, 10/6: 8pm: Greensky Bluegrass’s next-gen bluegrass sound takes traditional bluegrass, adds in some electric effects and a light show and a lot of improvisation. You might say it’s what bluegrass banjo star Jerry Garcia’s sound might have evolved into if he had never found The Grateful Dead. Hendrick Hertzberg of The New Yorker called Williams “one ov America’s very best singer-songwriters.” A frequent festival performer, Williams has toured with Mary Chapin Carpenter, Joan Baez, Ani DiFranco and Shawn Colvin.
