Camp News at Harvey: Spring Hockey and Summer
NY Rangers Instructional Hockey is coming to Evarts Memorial Ice Rink at the Harvey School in Katonah. Created jointly by the National Hockey League Players’ Association and the National Hockey League and co-sponsored by the Junior Rangers and Northwell Health, the New York Rangers Learn to Play Program offers a tailored series of 10 one-hour lessons for boys and girls who are interested in learning how to play hockey.
The lesson program, geared for entry level/beginner players, features instruction in skating, stick handling, passing, shooting and other aspects of the sport. First-time participants will receive a free hockey equipment set customized to each player. All those who wish to participate are encouraged to register early as enrollment is limited. Lessons will be held on Thursday evenings from 6pm-7pm beginning March 21 and concluding on May 23.

Harvey Summer Camp Registration
The Harvey Summer Camp, offered on the sprawling 125-acre Harvey School campus, is now open for registration. The Harvey Summer Camp features a wide range of full and partial session participation in summer activities for campers entering first grade through ninth grade.
Traditional Summer Camp Experience: Options include a traditional summer camp experience, featuring activities in the arts, sports, science, music, and theater as well as games and camp-wide events. “This variety of offerings allows campers entering first through ninth grades to explore different interests while introducing them to new activities,” said Harvey Camp Director Vinny Alexander.
Single-Focus Programs: Other summer options include single-focus specialty programs in the arts, sports, robotics, coding, circus arts, along with clinics in basketball and volleyball as well.
New! Summer Academies: New this summer at Harvey is the addition of Summer Academies, weeklong programs for boys and girls in grades 6-9 that focus on athleticism, sportsmanship, and skills while developing well-rounded athletes. Other weeklong sessions focus on girls and boys basketball, lacrosse, and hockey. For specific information on each option visit harveycamp.org and click on the “Summer Academies” button.
