During this very difficult time, the Community Center is utilizing all of its resources to continue to provide essential food support. To meet the urgent and immediate needs:
- We are distributing pre-bagged food at the back door of our Food Pantry for families in need who are able to come to the Center and additionally we have designed a home delivery system for the elderly, people with significant health issues and those in particular need who are unable to access our food pantry.
- We are giving each family extra food to help sustain them for longer, and we are providing toiletries, Depends, feminine hygiene products, diapers and wipes to those who need.
- We are communicating with other food pantries to coordinate resources and ensure that the growing needs of our community are met.
- We are providing support to the Town of Bedford in responding to the needs of local seniors who have been impacted by this public health crisis.
Many of our client families have suffered recent loss of employment and their needs for support are now greater than ever. Additionally, we are seeing a dramatic increase in neighbors turning to us for food for the first time.
We need your help to keep our pantry shelves stocked. Monetary donations will help us to purchase food and supplies that are critical to keeping our doors open for all who seek our support.
FOOD DONATIONS: We are still gratefully receiving donations during our regular business hours. Drop off bins are set up at the back door.
