A Doll’s House – Part 2: Ibsen’s A Doll’s House: Henrik Ibsen’s groundbreaking play about Nora Hellmer, the ideal 19th century wife who bolts her family, rocked 1879 Norway to its core. Now The Hudson Stage Company presents Lucas Hnath’s A Doll’s House – Part 2, so get ready to laugh. In this modern mash up of Ibsen, Hnath offers his inspired comedic imagining of Nora Helmer’s return 15 years after her shocking decision to leave her husband and children.
Now she’s back…but why? And what will that mean for those she left behind?
“A smart, funny and utterly engrossing play” – The New York Times
“Delivers explosive laughs while also posing thoughtful questions about marriage, gender inequality and human rights.” – The Hollywood Reporter
