A Taste of Westchester: Cabbage Hill Farm, Lunch: Farmer and the Chef! This A Taste of Westchester Class provides new mean to the term farm to table. You will begin your lesson at Cabbage Hill Farm in Mt. Kisco with Brian and Eileen to gather ingredients for the class. Then take the 10-minute drive to Peter Pratt’s Inn in Yorktown Heights where chef Jon Pratt will prepare a lunch with the bounty you’ve collected from Cabbage Hill.
Lunch will begin with a mushroom cream soup with pork crisps and salad made with farm-grown vegetables. Then chef Pratt will prepare a pork or beef dish with luscious sides with corn bread topped with Jon’s famous local honey. Finish with dessert and a special wine
The Cabbage Hill farm is non-profit dedicated to the preservation of historic farm animals and promotes sustainable agriculture and aquaponics. Please wear appropriate outerwear for visiting the farm.
Peter Pratt’s Inn is located at 673 Croton Heights Road, Yorktown Heights, 914-962-4090, www.prattsinn.com
