A Taste of Westchester: Clock Tower Grill: Holiday Madness! Proud owner of a farm supporting the restaurant’s growing needs, chef Rich Parente will teach you how to explore food in a fun and different way. You will sample local beer while learning the technique to make a smoked trout mousse. Learn to brine pork chops for a “holiday ham”. Plus an easy side dish of brussel sprouts with horseradish cream and a twist on sweet potatoes. De rigueur for the holidays is a lesson on making a “gingerbread house” and candy cane cookies for dessert.
A Taste of Westchester Cooking classes are part of the Westchester Community College Adult Education program. Each class is offers a live demo, often interactive, with an outstanding local chef. After the demonstrations everyone eats the lesson plan. Usually with an expertly paired glass of wine or craft beer, courtesy of the chef.
