A Taste of Westchester: Le Fontane: Classic Italian with a Twist! Specializing in authentic southern Italian cuisine, owners Antonio and Alfredo Abbate, two brothers raised by a family of restaurateurs and wine makers on Capri, introduce us to their culinary talents. All pasta is made on premises or at their pasta store, Katonah Pasta. Chef Messina will teach us the art of making pizza rustica (Italian egg and meat pie) along with roasted pork tenderloin and perfect risotto. The restaurant prides itself on its homemade desserts and they will demonstrate how to make zeppole with Italian coffee. Le Fontane is a local favorite since 1987!
A Taste of Westchester Cooking classes are part of the Westchester Community College Adult Education program. Each class is offers a live demo, often interactive, with an outstanding local chef. After the demonstrations everyone eats the lesson plan. Usually with an expertly paired glass of wine or craft beer, courtesy of the chef.
