Animal Advocate ‘Puppy Guru’ to Talk at Harvey
Bedford native and Harvey School alum Victoria Lily Shaffer, shares her experiences on animal rescue and puppy care and discusses her new book, Pup Culture: Stories Tips, and the Importance of Adopting a Dog. Which features contributions from several celebrated dog-lovers, including Glenn Close, David Letterman, Dan Levy, Vanessa Williams, and Tony Bennett. The foreword of the book was written by her father, Paul Shaffer, the renowned musician, composer, musical director, and bandleader.
After the presentation, the 28-year-old Shaffer will be available to sign her book, that offers a collection of adoption and fostering stories, creative crafts and at-home recipes, checklists, and inspiring stories.
Also on hand for the evening will be adoptable dogs courtesy of A New Chance Animal Rescue of Bedford Hills. The presentation, the latest installment of the school’s Cavalier Speaker Series, will take place Thursday, Dec. 9, in the Walker Center for the Arts on the school’s Katonah campus at 7 p.m. Seating is limited.
