Arc Stages: See What I See
Pleasantville’s Arc Stages Next Stage presents See What I See, a musical from Michael John LaChiusa based on three short stories by Ryūnosuke Akutagawa. The first act follows a story about a murder in Central Park and was the inspiration of Akira Kurosawa’s film Rashomon. the second act tells the story of a priest who creates a hoax about a miracle.
See What I Wanna See was nominated for nine Drama Desk Awards, including Best Musical. It premiered off Broadway at The Public Theater in 2005.
