About the Byram Hills Education Foundation:

Since 1994 the BHEF has raised over $4 million in grants for state of the art programs and technologies at all of the district’s schools. In the past two years they awarded district-wide grants totaling over $246,000 for Wellness for Life Programs! The program represented a continued partnership with Stanford University’s Challenge Success program and other leading experts. The grant funds professional development for faculty and community resources for parents, as well as programs at each school.

In 2016-17, BHEF raised over $313,000 for a Library 2.0 Program designed to transform the library experience for all students at Coman Hill, Wampus and H.C. Crittenden. The grant integrated STEAM and Makers Spaces, updated presentation technology, utilized active learning spaces, and connected the libraries and computer labs.

Previous grants funded a solar telescope, motion cameras for the study of ecosystems, a 3D Ceramic Printer, the implementation of Chromebooks and wireless networks, MacBook Pro Laptops to Modernize the Photography Curriculum, Cloud Computing, SmartMusic® music education software, eBooks for Byram Hills Libraries, STEAM Labs, and the Wampus Peaceful Playground.

The current Byram Hills Education Foundation Board include Mark Benerofe, Chairman, Shari Fruhling, President, Jessica Bond, Secretary and Patsy Bucciero, Treasurer. Their biggest fundraiser of their year is their Spring Events, cocktails and things. They also present an Outdoor Movie Night.
