Broadway Perspectives at Paramount Hudson Valley
Created exclusively for our venue by New York Casting Director/Producer Stephen DeAngelis, five Broadway artists of color will celebrate their identity through their art by recreating their most memorable musical performances and honoring the icons that came before them.
Scheduled performers are Major Attaway (longest running Genie in the Broadway production of Aladdin), LaVon Fisher-Wilson (Matron “Mama” Morton in the Broadway revival of Chicago); Medda Larkin in the Broadway production of Newsies); The Color Purple), Brennyn Lark (Catherine Parr in the Broadway production of Six The Musical; Eponine in the Broadway revival of Les Miserables; Deena Jones in the London West End revival of Dreamgirls), Jelani Remy (Eddie Kendrick in the Broadway production of Ain’t Too Proud: The Life and Times of the Temptations; Simba in the Broadway production of The Lion King) and Kissy Simmons (longest running Nala in the Broadway production of The Lion King).
