Swing is an energetic, rhythmic dance that originated in Harlem in the 1920s. Bring the kids and join the Eyal Vilner Swing Band and dancers for a fun show that will explore the rich history of this uniquely American art form. By late afternoon, everyone will fully understand why it’s called swing … when the musicians play (or sing), they “swing the beat,” meaning they play the notes late and then catch up in the next beat.
