CMS of Lincoln Center at PAC: Great Innovators: Once again this year, The Performing Arts Center of Purchase College brings Lincoln Center to Westchester. In their continuing partnership with Lincoln Center, PAC hosts the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center four times each year.
For their first 2019-20 PAC concert, CMS of Lincoln Center will perform works from classical music’s Great Innovators. The program features Beethoven’s Clarinet Concerto, the first of its kind when he wrote it in 1797. Followed by a trio version , for clarinet and piano, of Stavinsky’s A Soldier’s Tale. Mendelsohn’s Song Without Words for Piano. And Smetana’s Piano Trio for violin and cello, the first major chamber work from the Bohemian region.
The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center celebrates their 50th season in 2019-2020. They are committed to bringing audiences the finest performances of an extraordinary body of repertoire. They perform works dating as far back as the Renaissance and continuing through the centuries to the greatest works of our time.
