Dorrance Dance at PAC

Artistic Director Michelle Dorrance’s Bessie Award-winning troupe begs the question what is tap? Is it once? Or is it music? Michelle is a 2015 Macarthur Fellow and a 2018 Doris Duke Artist Award-winner. Her choreography blends traditional technique with cutting-edge choreography and inventive rhythms. Here they perform three pieces inclulding Jungle Blues, set to music by Branford Marsalis Quartet; Three to One, techno dance music by Apex Twin; and Myelination set to original live music.
