Feeding Westchester’s An Evening in Good Taste Event: Eat, drink and make a difference at the 29th annual benefit for the Feeding Westchester’s (formerly Food Bank of Westchester) An Evening in Good Taste in White Plains. Chefs from 30 of Westchester’s best eateries provide the culinary experience. Including, Peter Kelly of Xavier’s X20, and chef’s from Saltaire, Tredici, Sonora, Sam’s of Gedney Way, Mediterraneo of White Plains and Abigail Kirsch Catering.
Feeding Westchester provides food assistance to many of the one in 5 Westchester residents who are hungry, including 60,000 children.
Feeding Westchester provides more than nine million pounds of food to Westchester residents each year from their 30,000 square foot food distribution center and their eight refrigerated trucks.
In addition to their own feeding programs, Feeding Westchester supplies 95% of all food distributed at 300 partner agencies. Including food pantries, soup kitchens, senior and children’s daycare centers, shelters and residential programs.
Every year, Feeding Westchester recovers more than 3 million pounds of good, nutritious food that would otherwise go to waste. And gets it straight to the people who need it most.
