Hammond Museum: Pianist Taka Kigawa
The critically acclaimed pianist Taka Kigawa performs Frédéric Chopin’s 24 Preludes at the grand opening of the museum’s spring season and new exhibit of Mikel Frank’s abstract collages inspired by Chopin’s Preludes.
Kigawa, who has earned international recognition as a concerto soloist, recitalist, and chamber music artist will also perform Ludwig van Beethoven’s Sonata No. 8 in c minor, Op. 13 (“Pathétique”), and selections of György Ligeti’s Etudes for Piano.
