Herb Garden Day at John Jay Homestead: The N.Y. Unit of the Herb Society of America plans its next (and final) 2019 Herb Garden Day, complete with tours of the John Jay Homestead Herb Garden, on Saturday, Sept. 21, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Herb Garden Days include a Unit table at the Homestead’s Saturday Farm Market and tours of the Homestead’s Herb Garden, as well as related children’s activities. Visitors to the farm market enjoy delicious herbal cookies and muffins, recipes, fact sheets about featured herbs of the month, and information about the N.Y. Unit.

On Sept. 21, the Unit is celebrating rosemary, in a nod to the tradition of giving sprigs of rosemary to each attendee at the former September Herb Fair.
