Ivalas Quartet at Caramoor

The Ivalas Quartet, Caramoor’s 2022 – 23 Ernst Stiefel Quartet-in-Residence, has been changing the face of classical music through its dedication to the celebration of diverse voices. Following a performance of George Walker’s Lyric for Strings at Carnegie Hall in January of 2020, Ivalas worked in collaboration with Walker’s son to program his String Quartet No. 1. For its second performance this season, the Quartet returns to the Music Room for a performance featuring Walker’s quartet alongside works by Webern and Brahms.
