Jacob Burns Film Center: Coraline

When settling into her new home, Coraline (Dakota Fanning) finds a secret door to an alternative reality that looks like her own. She enjoys her visits to this new realm – until the alternative version of her family wants to keep her for good. Like his collaboration with Tim Burton, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Henry Selick’s stop motion animated adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s novel is a visual treat for audiences.

Following the movie, Super Awesome Artland! will be upstairs for another super fun project! Using polymer clay, all the kids (and adults!) will make their very own seeing stone (just like Coraline!) and pick a colored cord so they can wear it as a necklace to take with them on their journeys.
