Jacob Burns Film Center: Noirvember: Klute

This November, the JBFC will be celebrating the rich history of film noir with screenings, lectures, special guests, events, and themed “unhappy” hours for guests to dress up and catch some of the best of the genre on the silver screen. This series will feature film noirs from both the classic era of the postwar years and those made in subsequent decades.

Klute: Jane Fonda stars as Bree Daniel, a New York City call girl who becomes enmeshed in an investigation into the disappearance of a business executive. Detective John Klute (Donald Sutherland) is hired to follow Daniel, and eventually begins a romance with her, but it appears that he hasn’t been the only person on her trail.
