Jacob Burns Sounds of Summer: An Evening at the Bob Dylan Center

Bob Dylan Center Director Steven Jenkins returns to the Jacob Burns Film Center with a brand-new collection of rarities. “I contain multitudes,” Dylan professes in the lead track to his 2020 album Rough and Rowdy Ways—quoting Walt Whitman, natch—and in keeping with this plurality of personae, this evening’s assortment of short films reveals the ever-evolving artist in many guises, from earnest folksinger and rock ‘n’ roll rebel to Christmas caroler and crooner of classics. Following the one-hour screening, Jenkins will discuss the featured footage, and the larger work of the Bob Dylan Center, with JBFC Board President Janet Maslin.
