Lasdon Park: Civil War Soldiers Experience
Battery “B” First Rhode Island Light Artillery returns to Lasdon Park to run the Civil War Soldier Experience.
Each 2 hour session will consist of a number of fun filled, yet educational activities, demonstrations and ending with the firing a real civil war cannon.
Children will witness living history while learning about the life of civil war soldiers and their families.
NEW THIS YEAR! Children will create and take home their very own “thaumatrope” also known as a spinning wonder. A 19th century optical illusion toy that is an early form of animation. All materials will be included.
