Live Theatre @ BPH: Thom Pain (based on nothing): Three-time Daytime-Emmy nominated actor, Trent Dawson stars in Will Eno’s 2005 one-man show that tells the story of an ordinary man’s experiences with a bee sting, a boy with a dog that died and a woman. A finalist for the 2005 Pulitzer prize, The New York Times called Thom Pain “a small masterpiece.” Dawson, who was most recently seen on the latest season of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, is best known for his 11-year turn as Henry Coleman on As the World Turns. He has also worked on Broadway, Off-Broadway, and at regional theaters across the country.
This pop up benefit production at The Bedford Playhouse supports Dawson’s new stage company, Katonah Classic Stage (KCS) a professional, non-profit theater company in Katonah. KCS’s mission is to offer diverse, and professional productions of classic and contemporary plays.
*This is a fundraiser to benefit KCS’ inaugural production of Private Lives later this summer. All donations are tax-deductible.
