Merrily We Roll Along in Pleasantville: Arc Stages Community Theatre presents the 1981 musical by George Furth and Stephen Sondheim about a Broadway composer who abandons the stage to become a producer of Hollywood movies. The musical, based on the 1934 play of the same name by George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart, is reset in 1957 and runs through 1976.

Merrily We Roll Along’s original Broadway production garnered three Tony nominations for Sondheim – winning for Best Lyrics. The original London production in 2011 won three Olivier Awards including Best New Musical. The 2014 London production won the Olivier Award for Best Musical Revival.
