NCPL: Author Talk with Marlene Kern Fischer
Marlene Kern Fischer is a wife, mom, food shopper extraordinaire, blogger, lifelong writer, and college essay editor. She attended Brandeis University, from which she graduated cum laude with a degree in English literature. Having survived her kids’ pandemic wedding which she chronicled in her first book Gained a Daughter but Nearly Lost My Mind: How I Planned a Backyard Wedding During a Pandemic, Marlene decided to write a second book with all her free, non-wedding planning time. Her new book, Trapped in My Sports Bra and Other Harrowing Tales is a collection of real-life stories about one woman’s honest take on parenting, navigating the aches and pains of middle-age, love, and loss. Marlene lives in Armonk, New York with her husband and dog Maisy. Despite the fact that she writes about them, her kids come home to visit frequently.
Meg Kirschner Waxman is thrilled to be moderating her third author talk for the Friends of the North Castle Public Library. Meg lives in Armonk with her husband and three children. She is a teacher at Bet Torah Nursery School and a reading tutor. Meg is currently training to be a Parent Coach. She is a graduate of Northwestern University and holds a Masters Degree from Fordham University. Meg is a proud emcee of the Annual Frosty Day Parade in Armonk!!!
