Neighbors Link Virtual Spring Fling: In light of the COVID-19 social distancing guidelines, Neighbors Link has transitioned its annual Spring Fling, its largest fundraiser of the year, to a virtual event.
If you have already purchased a Spring Benefit ticket or sponsorship, Please note that 100% of donation or sponsorship cost is now tax deductible.
Anyone who donates will be invited to attend their virtual benefit on April 25th at 6pm via Zoom, where we can gather together to learn about Neighbors Link’s work with our immigrant community and celebrate our honorees Cynthia Brill, Esq. and Andrew Tisch.
Neighbors Link who provides food, educational, legal and employment services to help integrate immigrants into our communities recently turned their resources to support COVID-19 emergencies. They are partnering with Stop and Shop, Feeding Westchester, and 914 Cares to purchase and distribute gift cards to local families to buy basic necessities and medicines. They are also partnering with Feeding Westchester to distribute donated non-perishable food on a regular basis to 400 families. And with 914Cares to make sure families have access to diapers, wipes and other supplies.
Neighbors Link’s stated mission is to “strengthen the whole community by actively enhancing the healthy integration of immigrants. With locations in Mt. Vernon, Ossining and Mt. Kisco, Neighbors Link’s more than 400 volunteers serves 4,200 people annually. Over 1450 parents and children participate in their Family Center programs. They teach English as a second language to over 800 people, facilitate employment for over 600 and their legal team handles more than 600 immigration cases.
