New! Pocantico Hills Marathon
This inaugural marathon hosted by Trail Conference A.C., raises funds for the Friends of Rockefeller State Park Preserve (FRSPP) and the New York New Jersey Trail Conference (NYNJTC), which maintains and develops trails in NJ and NY.
This challenging and beautiful course begins and ends at the Rockwood Hall portion of the park overlooking the Hudson River and the Palisades. This is just off Rte 9 in Sleepy Hollow, next to Phelps Hospital.
It is a single loop course almost entirely on wide groomed carriage roads, visiting just about all of the signature aspects of the Rockefeller Park Preserve with a ton of scenic views.
The course CLIMBS A LOT, rocking and rolling past fields, stone walls and bridges, grazing livestock, rivers, forests and lakes. No pavement and no cars on the course!
There is an 8 hour time limit for the race, which will cap at 500 runners this year.
