NWH Panel on Heart Health in Chappaqua: Northern Westchester Hospital’s Center for Healthy Living’s Getting to the Root of Heart Disease is a panel presentation where attendees will learn about heart health from medical, exercise, and nutritional perspectives. Including the cardiac benefits of increasing the amount of plant-based food in your diet. By bringing together a dynamic team of trusted experts, this event provides a wide-ranging and engaging perspective on heart health.
The presenters include Dr. James Catanese, Chief of Cardiology at NWH; Anthony Trotta, Exercise Physiologist at CCx; and Kelly Weichsel-Arya & Florence Hovy, Founders of Plant Yourself Healthy.
James Catanese, MD, FACC
Dr. Catanese is the Chief of Cardiology at Northern Westchester Hospital and has dedicated himself to his patients, Northern Westchester Hospital, and the community. He has been on the NWH Medical Board for 10 years and counting. He served on the NWH Board of Trustees and as the President of the NWH Medical Staff for six years. Dr. Catanese is part of the team developing the plan to bring cardiac catheterization and stent procedures to NWH. In 2015, Dr. Catanese was selected as the physician honoree at Northern Westchester Hospital’s Gala for his high level of service to his patients and to the Hospital.
Anthony Trotta, BS in Exercise Physiology
Anthony earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science as well as a minor in Biology from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT. Anthony has extensive experience in exercise prescription and monitoring of telemetry for the cardiac patient. His knowledge of aerobic and resistance training allow him to develop a safe and successful program for anyone to follow.
Kelly Weichsel-Arya, RN and Florence Hovy, BS in Physical Education; Founders of Plant Yourself Healthy
Kelly and Florence founded Plant Yourself Healthy, a comprehensive whole food, plant-based lifestyle coaching program. They enable, guide, and support people to change their eating habits to prevent, stop or reverse chronic disease. Kelly and Florence both volunteer for the Chappaqua Volunteer Ambulance Corps and participate in the Chappaqua Farmers Market to share Plant Yourself Healthy with the local community.
