Taconic Opera’s 24th Anniversary Gala: Opera Tells a Fib – Great food – spectacular voices – songs about deception
Taconic Opera – now in its 24th season and past recipient of the Arts Organization of the Year Award in Westchester County – will hold its annual fundraiser Gala on Tuesday, October 7, 2021, at the C.V. Rich Mansion in White Plains.
Guests will dine on sumptuous cuisine and honor important supporters of the arts while being treated to a variety of arias, duets and ensembles from opera’s most famous collection of liars, cheaters, deceivers and scammers. Several of the company’s most favored singers will take you on a journey from anger and angst to hilarity – an evening that the listener won’t forget for a very long time.
All Gala proceeds support Taconic Opera’s 2021-2022 season of events which will include a fully-staged production of Puccini’s Manon Lescaut, a choral-orchestral concert, a chamber orchestra concert with Taconic Opera conductor Jun Nakabayashi, recitals, a summer opera series, and lectures offered during the year.
Attendance at the Gala will be by a partially tax deductible donation: Gold $250; Silver, $200; Bronze $150. Discounts are available for groups of two or more and significantly more for tables for eight.
