Orchestra 914 Celebración!

Music Dir Russell Ger and Orchestra 914 bring a celebration of Latin-American composers from Carlos Gardel’s Por Una Cabeza (made famous in A Scent of a Woman) to Ginastera’s toe-tapping Estancia; from a Brazilian tribute to Bach by Villa-Lobos to the Argentinian king of the tango, Piazzolla; and finally, to the roof raising energy of Mexican composer, Arturo Márquez. The dominant element that unites these composers is unbounded passion, expressed through intoxicating rhythm.
