Pandemic Players: Is He Dead?
The Schoolhouse Theater’s Pandemic Players’ weekly (impromptu) play readings continue with this presentation of Is He Dead, a play by Mark Twain, adapted by David Ives. In which, a young painter in love with Marie and also in debt to a picture dealer (also in love with Marie) who threatens to foreclose on him so he can marry Marie, fakes his own death,
Why? Painters never prosper until they are dead which will enable him to pay off his debt – but then how to come back to life to marry Marie???? Goops!
